Legal Information

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This is the legal information page for this website. It explains who operates the site, the company, registration and tax identifiers we are required to publish, the rules that apply when you use the site, and the policies that govern privacy, cookies, contracts and disputes. It is written for visitors, customers, suppliers and partners in the United Kingdom and should be read together with the other policy pages referred to below.

1. Identity of the website operator and our role

This website is owned and operated by inquiriko, referred to on this page as we, us and our. We run a professional hub for live television production. Our subject matter is the craft and technology of live broadcasting: studio equipment integration and signal flow, dynamic camera techniques and multi-camera operation, acoustic optimisation for studios and control rooms, lighting setups for news programmes, interviews and live shows, and the production processes that keep live output dependable.

Our role in relation to this site is that of publisher of the site content and, where you send an enquiry or place an order, that of supplier or prospective supplier of equipment, integration and production services. We are not a broadcaster, a television channel or a programme maker in our own right. Nothing on this site is an offer to broadcast, distribute or commission your content, and no contract is formed merely by browsing the site or sending a message through the contact form.

We operate as a commercial business in the United Kingdom. References on this site to equipment, manufacturers, standards or working practices are provided for professional information. Editorial guidance reflects good practice at the time it is written and is not a substitute for site-specific engineering design, electrical certification or a formal risk assessment of your premises.

1.1 Responsible representatives

Responsibility for the site, its content and its compliance with United Kingdom law rests with the directors of the company. Enquiries about the site should be sent using the contact details in section 3. Formal notices relating to a contract must be given in writing, by post or email, so that they can be logged and answered properly.

2. Legal form, registration details and tax identifiers

We are a private company limited by shares, incorporated and registered in England and Wales. The disclosures below are published in line with the Companies Act 2006, the Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Business (Names and Trading Disclosures) Regulations 2015 and the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002, which require a commercial website to identify the trader it represents and to give its geographic address, registration details and, where applicable, its tax identifiers.

We aim to acknowledge enquiries within two working days and to provide a substantive reply within five working days. Please do not send confidential technical drawings or personal data through the contact form unless we have asked you to, because email is not a secure channel.

We do not accept unsolicited marketing messages sent to these details, and we may filter or block messages that appear to be automated, deceptive or unlawful.

4. Purpose, scope and intended audience of the website

This site is published in English for a professional audience in the United Kingdom: production staff, studio engineers, technical managers, freelancers, venue operators, educational institutions and businesses that commission, hire or install live production facilities. It provides technical and practical information about studio equipment integration, camera operation, acoustics, lighting and live production workflow, and it allows visitors to contact us about our products and services.

The site is intended for users aged 18 and over who act in the course of a business or profession. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a consumer rather than a business customer, you still benefit from the mandatory rights described in section 12; however, some of the technical content assumes professional knowledge and professional safety controls.

Content is written for the United Kingdom market. We do not represent that the site, its content or any equipment discussed complies with the law of any other country, and we do not target consumers resident outside the United Kingdom.

5. Access to and acceptable use of the website

You may access and use this site for lawful, professional purposes. By using the site you agree not to:

  • use the site in a way that breaches any law, regulation or professional standard, including health and safety, electrical safety or broadcasting regulation;
  • copy, scrape, harvest, mirror or systematically extract content, data or contact details, or use automated tools to send enquiries or requests;
  • introduce viruses, malware, denial-of-service traffic or any other harmful code or interference;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its servers, its admin areas, or any related system or network;
  • use the site to send unsolicited advertising, chain messages or misleading information about equipment, safety or compliance;
  • misrepresent your identity, your employer, your qualifications or your authority to act for a third party.

Access to the site is provided free of charge and is granted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw or change all or part of the site without notice, including where we consider that use is abusive, unlawful or a security risk. You are responsible for arranging your own internet access, devices and security software, and for ensuring that anyone who accesses the site through your connection complies with these rules.

Our site uses a cookie banner to record your choices about non-essential cookies. You can change or withdraw those choices at any time; the options available and the consequences of each choice are explained on the site's cookie message and in the Cookie Policy referred to in section 9.

6. Ownership and permitted use of content, trade marks and other intellectual property

All content on this site, including text, technical explanations, diagrams, photographs, layout, code, databases and the selection and arrangement of materials, is owned by or licensed to inquiriko and is protected by copyright, database right and other intellectual property laws. Except where we state otherwise, copyright in the site content belongs to us and unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

You may view, print or download extracts of pages for your own internal business or personal non-commercial reference, provided that you keep all copyright and attribution notices intact and do not modify the material. You must not copy, republish, sell, license, distribute, exploit commercially, or use any part of the site content for training automated systems, without our prior written permission. Requests for permission, including requests to reproduce technical material for teaching, should be sent to [email protected].

Third-party names, product names, logos and trade marks that appear on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and descriptive purposes only. Their appearance does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship or affiliation unless we say so expressly. If you believe that content on this site infringes your rights, contact us with details of the material and the right you say is affected, and we will investigate promptly.

Copyright Notice: all rights reserved.

7. Accuracy, availability and proportionate limitations of liability

We take care to publish accurate, up-to-date information, and we correct material errors when they are brought to our attention. However, the site is provided on an as available basis. Technical specifications, equipment availability, prices, delivery times and standards change, and content may not reflect the latest position. You should always confirm specifications, compatibility, safety requirements and commercial terms with us before you rely on them for a production, purchase or installation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties and representations that would otherwise be implied into your use of the site. We are not liable for:

  • loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or anticipated savings;
  • loss or corruption of data, recordings or production material;
  • business interruption or the cost of substitute equipment or facilities;
  • losses arising from your reliance on general guidance published on the site rather than on written, project-specific advice.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the site is limited to the greater of one hundred pounds sterling or the amount you paid to us for the services concerned. Nothing in this page excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of terms implied by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other consumer protection legislation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including power failures, network outages, severe weather, industrial action or supplier failure.

Our supply, hire and installation activities are governed by separate written terms, which take precedence over general information on this site where the two differ.

8. External links and third-party content

This site may refer by name to third-party websites, manufacturers, standards bodies, regulators, training providers and industry sources. These references are provided for convenience and professional context only. We do not control third-party sites or content and we are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, security, legality or privacy practices. Publication of a reference is not an endorsement, and you use any third-party resource at your own risk and subject to that provider's own terms.

If you follow a link away from our site, the terms and privacy notices of the destination site will apply to your use of it. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of third-party sites or services, and we do not accept responsibility for content that we have not published ourselves.

9. Privacy, cookies and data protection

We handle personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). In general, you can browse this site without telling us who you are. We only collect personal data that you choose to provide, for example when you submit the contact form, email us, request a quotation or make a booking, together with limited technical data such as the pages visited and the type of device used.

We use your information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, provide goods and services, manage accounts and hire agreements, keep records, meet legal and tax obligations, and secure the site. Our lawful bases for processing are your consent where you have given it, the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request, our legitimate interests in running a professional business, and compliance with legal obligations. We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for those purposes and for the retention periods required by law, and we do not sell personal data.

Under the UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and rights relating to automated decision-making, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. You can exercise these rights by writing to [email protected] or by using the contact details in section 3. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the United Kingdom's supervisory authority for data protection.

We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work and, where you consent through the cookie banner, limited analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. Under PECR we may store or read information on your device only with your consent, except where the cookie is strictly necessary to provide a service you have requested. Consent is requested before non-essential cookies are set, is recorded, and can be withdrawn or changed at any time; blocking cookies may affect parts of the site.

Full detail is provided in the following policy documents, which form part of this legal information page by reference: the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Terms and Conditions, and the Payment and Refund Policy. Each is available from the site navigation or on request from [email protected].

10. Terms of supply, hire, payment and refunds

Commercial dealings with us are governed by our written terms and conditions, which are provided with every quotation, order confirmation or hire agreement. In outline: quotations and specifications are valid for the period stated; orders are accepted when we confirm them in writing; hire periods, deposits, insurance requirements and equipment condition checks are set out in the hire agreement; invoices are payable within the stated credit period; and cancellations, returns, refunds, repairs and charges for loss or damage follow the Payment and Refund Policy.

Where you deal with us as a consumer, you have additional statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to goods that are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and the right to a remedy where they are not. Where you deal with us as a business, the terms agreed in writing govern the contract. Nothing in this page removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Other legal and regulatory formalities

Alongside company and tax disclosures, the following formalities apply to our business and are worth noting for anyone dealing with us:

  • Modern Slavery Statement: we support the aims of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and require our suppliers and subcontractors to comply with applicable anti-slavery and human trafficking law.
  • Bribery and Corruption: we comply with the Bribery Act 2010, maintain anti-bribery controls and do not offer or accept improper payments or hospitality.
  • Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment: where we supply electrical or electronic equipment, we meet our obligations under the WEEE Regulations 2013, including producer registration, take-back arrangements and correct disposal routes for end-of-life equipment.
  • Health and Safety: installation, rigging, cabling and maintenance work is planned and carried out with regard to the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and related regulations, including risk assessment, safe working at height, electrical safety and live production protocols.
  • Equality and Accessibility: we aim to provide a site that is accessible and usable, and we take reasonable steps to accommodate disabled users and visitors in line with the Equality Act 2010. If you experience an accessibility problem, tell us at [email protected].
  • Advertising and Marketing: commercial communications are prepared in line with the advertising codes enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority. We are not a broadcaster or on-demand programme service regulated by Ofcom, and we do not provide editorial broadcasting services.
  • Anti-Fraud and Sanctions: we screen transactions where appropriate, comply with applicable sanctions and export controls, and may decline or cancel an order where we are legally required to do so.

12. Applicable law, competent courts and consumer dispute rights

This legal information page and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or with the site are governed by the law of England and Wales. Subject to the paragraph below, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

If you live in Scotland, you may bring proceedings in the Scottish courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland, you may bring proceedings in the courts of Northern Ireland. Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which they live, or from relying on mandatory consumer protections in their country of residence.

We would much rather resolve a problem directly. If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us first using the details in section 3 so that we can investigate and try to put things right. If we cannot resolve the matter, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider, which offers an independent route to settlement. We are not obliged to participate in ADR in every case and participation does not remove your right to go to court. Consumers can also seek free advice from Citizens Advice, and business customers may contact their local Trading Standards service.

13. Changes to this page, contact route and last-updated date

We review this page regularly and may change it at any time, for example to reflect a change in our company details, a new legal requirement or a change to our policies. The version published on the site is the current version, and the date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the site after an update means that you accept the revised page. Where a change materially affects an existing contract, we will contact affected customers directly.
